She carried her grandmother Minerva (Reynolds) Simmons' name and was the first child born to Erastus and Elizabeth after their move to Missouri. Anna was married on December 27, 1888, to John C. The Boarders were Howard and Myrtle Moats and their little boy, Farley. John died on December 4, 1912. After John's death, his son Seth, who was working in a sewer pipe factory, and Anna's sister old maid Emily remained in the household. Mary survived to March 21, 1937, and died in Polk Co., Missouri.
